Stars On The Rise 2014 – Haunted City Rollers

Updated: March 6, 2014

We’re profiling all of the teams that will be competing in the Heartland Series 2014. We’ve asked them to highlight the skaters hoping to make an impression in the Series and tell us a bit about themselves, to introduce our new teams and welcome back our friends from 2013. Today’s stars, making their debut in the North West Division, Haunted City Rollers!

How was 2013?

2013 was a foundation, building year for Haunted City, concentrating on passing the new minimum skills, building team work, tactics and gaining experience. All of which has happened with both new and old coaches working together with all our skaters. A lot of hard work and sweat hit our track last year. We also spent time building relationships with a few new leagues and a lot of those leagues helped us get to the point we’re at now. You guys know who you are!

Jammer To Watch – UnderRaige #18

You’d think this jammer has wings on her feet. She’s nibble and swift. Before you know it, she’s passed you and leaving you in her dust. But don’t be fooled by her sweet looks. This jammer can also land a hefty wallop.

Blocker To Watch – Breeze Block #3

BAM! You’re on the floor!! This blocker takes no prisoners. With her eye on that jammer, she will not be knocked off her mission. Stopping at nothing to stop the opposing jammer, with a hit as hard as her name implies!

Rookie To Watch – Stelf #925

She may be a rookie but this skater has a head for tactics. With great pack awareness and communication, she is an invaluable member in our pack. Watch out for this one jammer, her recycling is on point!

What are your hopes and goals for the Heartland Series in 2014?

Haunted City are now bout ready, eager and excited to be a part of Heartland Series this year. After an amazing start to our bouting year, showcasing our hard work from 2013 in our first EVER public bout at Tattoo Freeze, Haunted are now ready for all the experience that the Heartland Series has to offer. Going from strength to strength and continuing to grow as a team, let the hard work and, more importantly, the fun begin.
